Information You Submit
Search Terms
When you type a name, location, or other search detail into a partner search box, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Washington County Released Inmates does not keep its own local log of those search terms.
Messages
If you email us or use a contact form, we use the information you provide to read, route, and answer the message. We do not share contact messages outside our organization unless a valid legal requirement calls for it.
Automatic Site Data
Like most websites, this site may collect basic technical details when a page loads. Those details help us keep pages working, spot errors, and understand general use patterns.
- IP address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on pages.
- Referring website, when one is available.
- Date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies may be used for analytics, advertising, and basic site functions. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features or partner tools may work differently if cookies are disabled.
How Data Is Used
- To keep the site available, usable, and reasonably fast.
- To send search requests to the provider selected by the visitor.
- To understand which Washington County release-record pages are useful.
- To diagnose broken links, display errors, or other technical issues.
- To support advertising that may be based on general interests.
Outside Websites
This site links to public-record resources, sheriff and corrections pages, Colorado Judicial Branch tools, CDOC, VINE, BOP, ICE, and outside search providers. Once you leave this site, the privacy policy and terms of the destination site apply.
Advertising partners may use their own cookies or similar tools to measure ads or tailor ads across websites. That activity happens on the partner's systems, not as a record held by Washington County Released Inmates.
Who May Receive Data
We do not sell personal contact messages. Limited information may be available to service providers or legal authorities in these situations:
- Search partners that process lookup requests.
- Analytics providers that measure site use.
- Advertising networks that support ads.
- Law enforcement, courts, or government bodies when required by a valid legal order.
Security Practices
We use reasonable security practices for a small public-information website. No internet-connected system can be promised as fully secure, so we cannot guarantee that data will never be accessed, interrupted, lost, or misused.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
Your Data Rights
- Ask for a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete information when deletion is legally and technically available.
- Ask to opt out of certain processing or advertising uses where applicable.
Policy Updates
This privacy notice may be revised as the site, partner tools, laws, or advertising services change. Updates will be posted on this page with the revised text taking effect when published.
